Born David Adu Berko and known professionally as Aduberks, the Ghana-based drummer and producer has steadily carved out a unique space in contemporary African music. His journey into rhythm began early, playing in church and spending countless hours watching seasoned musicians at his father’s recording studio. Those formative moments planted the seed for a lifelong love for music.
Driven to sharpen his skills, Aduberks went on to study at the University of Education, Winneba, where his technique and creative direction took shape. Influenced by Amapiano, Afrobeats, Highlife, and Jazz, his sound blends deep African musical roots with modern, global textures. Along the way, legendary drummers such as Larnell Lewis, Sput, Paakow, and Francis Osei have played key roles in shaping his musical voice.
Now an award-winning drummer and producer, Aduberks is preparing to celebrate two major milestones with a special concert at Allianace Francaias in Accra Ghana On February 13, he will host his maiden concert, marking five years of professional drumming while also celebrating his 30th birthday, a powerful moment of reflection, growth, and artistic evolution.
More than just a show, the concert is a celebration of rhythm, resilience, and a journey grounded in sound, culture, and musical excellence.
