AFROSON1C X Makes Powerful Accra Debut With Sold-Out Live Experience.

Legends, emerging talent, and influential global music executives came together for a defining, sold-out edition of AFROSON1C X in Ghana. Hosted at Treehouse Restaurant in Accra, the live experience delivered a powerful fusion of culture, community, and progressive West African sound. With a full house in attendance, the event further cemented AFROSON1C X as a platform known for curating meaningful, high-impact showcases at the crossroads of music, industry, and future-facing talent.

The night was led by Nigerian highlife revival band The Cavemen alongside Ghanaian music legend Amakye Dede, whose performances created a seamless dialogue between generations. Their sets honoured the foundations of West African music while spotlighting its ongoing evolution, resulting in an evening rich in live instrumentation, nostalgia, and shared cultural memory.

Backing the headliners was a compelling roster of rising artists — Malaïka, 99 PHACES, Tommy WÁ, Tower, Haeven, Tsie, and Yarwood. Each act brought a distinct sound and energy, from genre-pushing experimentation to deeply emotive performances, offering a glimpse into the diversity and promise of the region’s next musical chapter.

Beyond the stage, AFROSON1C X underscored its commitment to knowledge-sharing and ecosystem growth through carefully curated panel sessions and workshops. Industry leaders from Virgin Music Group, EMPIRE, Rain Labs, The Orchard, CLIP, and iMullar Sound System shared practical insights on artist development, global distribution, market access, and the business of music. These conversations provided emerging creatives with valuable tools, access, and inspiration, reinforcing the platform’s mission to empower as much as it entertains.

Adding to the experience, one-stop distribution platform WAVVI delivered an on-site activation spotlighting its latest offerings. Artists benefited from free music distribution and automated royalty payouts via mobile money (MoMo), highlighting how technology is driving more sustainable creative pathways across West Africa.

Following the sold-out Accra edition — and recent showcase appearances at SXSW London and Reeperbahn Festival in 2025 — AFROSON1C X continues to strengthen its position as a leading showcase platform for West African music. By honouring legacy, amplifying new voices, and investing in long-term industry growth, the platform is already setting the stage for its next edition and a series of international spotlight showcases planned for 2026.
