Apply Now: YouTube opens applications for Foundry Class of 2026

YouTube Music has officially opened applications for the 2026 edition of its global artist development programme, Foundry, allowing independent artists to take their careers to the next level. Foundry is designed to support musicians who are building their audiences on YouTube, offering a mix of funding, mentorship, and promotional tools to help them grow sustainably. The programme is especially tailored for independent artists, whether they’re self-managed or working with indie labels and distributors, while those signed to major labels are not eligible.

Selected artists receive a range of benefits, including seed funding for their YouTube channels, direct support from a YouTube partner manager, and access to marketing and promotional opportunities both on and off the platform. They also get early access to new YouTube features and industry initiatives, giving them a competitive edge. A strong focus is placed on artists who are actively planning releases with music videos, highlighting YouTube’s role as a key hub for visual music discovery.

Applications opened on February 25, 2026 and will close on March 25, 2026, with an extended deadline of April 30 – 2026, for artists based in India and Korea. Successful applicants are expected to be notified later in the spring.

The programme continues to expand its global footprint. The 2025 Foundry class featured 28 artists from 13 countries, underlining YouTube’s ongoing commitment to spotlighting rising talent across different markets.

Alongside the main programme, YouTube continues to invest in emerging talent through Foundry Rising. This initiative targets earlier-stage artists, providing micro-grants, education, and tools to help them activate their channels and start building momentum. Artists interested in applying can do so through YouTube’s official artist portal.
