“Dior recruited a book influencer to highlight its new Book Cover designs.”

In an innovative fusion of high fashion and literary culture, French luxury house Dior has launched its Book Cover edition of the iconic Dior Book Tote, and the campaign is turning heads beyond the runway.

Conceived as part of Dior’s Spring/Summer 2026 Book Cover Collection, the newly reimagined Book Totes are embroidered with motifs drawn from classic novels, including Dracula, Ulysses, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, and many other celebrated literary works. Traditionally designed as a practical carryall, the Book Tote now doubles as a wearable tribute to the storytelling tradition that inspired its original concept, carrying books.

To capture the campaign’s blend of culture, creativity, and authenticity, Dior enlisted a cast of personalities that extend beyond traditional fashion influencers, among them book content creator and “bookfluencer” Travawyn Taylor.

Taylor, a dancer‑turned‑literary creator with a passionate community of readers on Instagram, was featured in the photo campaign shot along the bouquinistes of the Seine in Paris. In campaign imagery, he’s seen engaging with classic texts while holding one of the new Book Cover Totes inspired by Ulysses by James Joyce, embodying the collection’s theme of fashion as a conduit for cultural storytelling.

Rather than simply posting branded outfits, Taylor’s inclusion reflects a broader shift luxury brands are making, collaborating with niche creators rooted in genuine passions (like literature) whose voices resonate deeply with specific cultural communities. This approach aims to redefine influencer partnerships by aligning the creator’s personal interests with a brand’s artistic narrative, rather than treating influencers as generic promotional vehicles.

Photographer Angèle Châtenet captured the campaign’s evocative visuals, showcasing Taylor and other book lovers wandering Parisian streets, antique bookstalls, and reading aloud passages from the classics, a poetic backdrop underscoring the emotional depths of both literature and design.

The Book Cover Collection is currently available through Dior boutiques and online, with demand high among collectors and fashion bibliophiles alike.
