Dubai’s nightlife scene stepped into a new era as Nobu Matsuhisa and Meir Teper introduced Nobu One Za’abeel, the brand’s latest and most dynamic destination. Designed as the first Nobu concept to seamlessly evolve into a high-energy late-night hotspot, the venue sits inside the ultra-luxury One&Only One Za’abeel and made its debut with undeniable flair.
The opening night drew an A-list crowd spanning entertainment, fashion, and culture, with notable guests including Lindsay Lohan, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Gunna, AP Dhillon, Rema, Chanel Iman, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Nelly Karim, Karen Wazen, among others—underscoring Dubai’s position as a global nightlife capital.
A defining moment of the evening was the ceremonial kagami biraki sake ritual. Led by Nobu Matsuhisa alongside Meir Teper, Nobu COO Hiro Tahara, Kerzner International CEO Philippe Zuber, and Lindsay Lohan, the tradition unfolded to the powerful beats of Japanese Taiko drummers, symbolically celebrating growth, prosperity, and Dubai’s ever-evolving dining culture.
Culinary excellence remained at the core of the experience. Guests indulged in refined, share-friendly interpretations of Nobu classics, including yellowtail jalapeño, black cod butter lettuce, wagyu short rib with wasabi salsa, and meticulously prepared sushi selections. Beyond the menu, the space itself commands attention. Designed by Rockwell Group, the venue merges Japanese craftsmanship with bold, large-scale architectural expression. Layered layouts, intricate textures, and a striking illuminated ceiling installation by Lasvit create a sophisticated yet electric atmosphere tailored for late-night dining and social energy.
