St Claire Records Announces Mad + Again, A two-part Ochestral Story By Dwin, The Stoic

St. Claire Records is proud to announce the release of Mad + Again, a two-part orchestral ballad by Dwin, The Stoic, produced entirely by longtime collaborator Rhaffy. Framed as a short story in song, the project explores the emotional distance between betrayal and healing, unfolding across two interconnected movements. The first track, Mad, opens in the aftermath of betrayal. A man returns home to find his lover with someone else, but instead of confrontation, he chooses quiet dismissal.

Scored by restrained piano and swelling strings, the moment unravels slowly, capturing a descent into internal chaos rather than outward rage. Again, the second track shifts forward in time. Years later, the same man stands at a new door, carrying flowers and the weight of memory. Tentative and uncertain, he reaches for love once more and finds it returned. Where Mad is sparse and heavy, Again leans into warmth and emotional release, completing the arc from heartbreak to renewal.

Bridged by a cinematic sound design passage that signals the passage of time, Mad + Again functions as a complete narrative, one that reflects Dwin’s commitment to storytelling as a central pillar of his artistry. A writer and former editor-in-chief, and an alumnus of Chimamanda Adichie’s creative writing workshop, Dwin approaches music as literature in motion.

With Mad + Again, he introduces the first entry in an ongoing literary series, where each release exists as a self-contained world, grounded in character, emotion, and form. With production rooted in orchestral minimalism, Rhaffy’s compositions provide a stark yet expansive backdrop for Dwin’s writing, allowing the story to unfold with clarity and emotional precision.
