Ghana-based executive brings A&R expertise across two labels, with Master Maison already signed to Elizabeth Music Group.
Leslie Akrofi-Mantey has been appointed as an Artist & Repertoire (A&R) executive for both Elizabeth Music Group (USA) and Hekta Music Group (UK), effective June 2026. The dual appointment marks a significant expansion of Leslie’s role in shaping the future of Afrobeats, Afro-Soul, Ghanaian Hip-Hop, and pan-African music on the global stage.
In the new role, Akrofi-Mantey will be involved in artist scouting, development, and signing strategy for both organisations, working to identify emerging talent across West Africa and the broader African music landscape and connect them with the infrastructure, resources, and global platforms needed to grow sustainable careers.

Since stepping into the position, Leslie has already delivered results, securing the signing of renowned music producer Master Maison to Elizabeth Music Group. The signing reflects Akrofi-Mantey’s continued focus on identifying standout talent within the African music ecosystem and building long-term artist partnerships rooted in strategic development and global reach.

“I’m excited to bring my A&R vision to both Elizabeth Music Group and Hekta Music Group at such a pivotal moment for African music,” said Akrofi-Mantey. “Signing Master Maison to Elizabeth Music Group so early into this role is just the beginning. My focus is on finding artists with real staying power and giving them the platform and support to compete globally.”
Leslie continues to lead BluVelta, the Accra-based music marketing agency founded to support Afrobeats, Afro-Soul, and pan-African artists through campaign strategy, DSP positioning, and press coordination. The new A&R roles build on years of hands-on experience in artist development across the West African music industry.
