R&B singer-songwriter Tone Stith has officially released his new album The Edge, marking his first full-length project in several years. Released on May 15 through MNRK Music Group, the 10-track album showcases Stith’s signature blend of contemporary R&B, emotional songwriting, and smooth vocal delivery. The project includes previously released singles “Fly” and “Shut Up,” both of which helped build anticipation ahead of the album’s arrival. “Fly” recently reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, further solidifying Stith’s growing presence within modern R&B.
According to reports, The Edge was developed over a two-year period and reflects personal experiences and artistic growth. In a statement shared ahead of the release, Stith described the album as a deeply personal body of work shaped by life experiences and self-reflection. The album features 10 songs, including “Pageant Stage,” “Back Around,” “I Quit,” “Come To Me,” and “Better Days.” Sonically, the project leans into soulful production, intimate storytelling, and polished R&B arrangements that have become central to Stith’s sound.
Before the album release, Stith previewed material from The Edge during intimate performances at Blue Note Jazz Club events in Los Angeles and New York as part of the venue’s “Coast to Coast” series. Best known for co-writing songs for Chris Brown and collaborating with artists including H.E.R., Ty Dolla $ign, and Quavo, Tone Stith continues to position himself as one of R&B’s standout voices with The Edge.
