R&B and Afro Soul artist KiKi Celine has released an acoustic performance of her latest single, “Suffocated,” offering a more stripped-back interpretation of the song ahead of her debut EP. The live rendition puts the singer’s vocals and emotional delivery at the forefront, trading the original’s studio production for a more organic sound. Drawing on contemporary R&B and traditional soul influences, the performance captures the song’s intimacy while highlighting KiKi Celine’s vocal versatility and storytelling ability.
Accompanied by Julian Andoh on guitar and Insvne Auggie on keys, KiKi Celine brings new texture to “Suffocated,” a song centred on emotional vulnerability and the feeling of being confined by personal circumstances. The minimalist arrangement allows these themes to come through with greater clarity, offering a closer look at her artistry as she prepares to introduce her first EP.
